I’ve been having a growing experience where more and more I know the perfection of each action in each moment; more and more experiencing that indeed everything comes from the One.
My mind may try to re-create fear and limitation, but when I place my awareness into the Ascendant and become That, I either experience a strengthening or a lessening of the flow of That energy when I contemplate something.
I suppose this is what the Eastern sages
call watching the Tao: the movement of the Ascendant. This experience started happening when I made a new choice: to stop studying Ascension, to stop being a “Teacher of Ascension” and to start living Ascension.
A major component in living Ascension is the cessation of action based on thoughts that continue separation. Gregg Braden talks about this in his book and video “Walking between the Worlds”.
He states that a big shift in our consciousness occurs when we choose to believe that EVERYTHING is God.
For once we make that choice, it is no longer possible to experience anything that keeps us from the Truth. We see that there is no Satan or demon or desire or even ego that tempts us or deceives us or prevents us from knowing our true Identity.
Instead, all that’s actually happening is that we are either totally aware of the Truth in each moment, or we are
creating situations to evolve our consciousness to be able to be so. That’s all. Nothing more and nothing less.
In addition to experiencing this, I am seeing more and more that living by rules and/or talking about “battling” or “killing” the ego are clear indicators of belief in separation. The need for rules (control) or “battling” egos comes from the surface level of the mind, not from awareness of the Ascendant.
Most states of mind come from fear, duality
and separation, where some things are God and some are not-so-God. This is maya [illusion]. Since I am aware that I am Divine, if I create or imagine any part of another or myself that is not Divine, I am creating a rakshasa, a mind-constructed illusion. Each time I create another rakshasa to go “battle” I’ve just given the ego a reason to hang on to its otherwise unsubstantial identity a little longer. What a shame.
This is the deeper level of what MSI meant when he
spoke of the analogy of people sailing on a boat and then jumping ship and swimming back the other way just as the ship pulls in to dock. | | If I learn the Truth and then re-create the unTruth, I’m in effect creating stress – the opposite of Ascending. Why would I ever want to do this? And why would I ever want to teach somebody else to do this?
When I
give up all of the identities where I see myself as having a role to play or a job to do or a “life mission”, I experience much more freedom. This even includes the identity of being a “Teacher of Ascension”.
The ego can play enlightened and entrench itself in an identity of Teacher with students whom it is “wiser than” and who “need” it to “show them the way”.
By adopting an identity or role of “Teacher of Ascension”, and by then needing to act or look a certain way
while playing this role, not only have I jumped off the ship MSI was talking about, I’ve tied a BIG rock to each ankle before I jumped!
In his book, “God Loves Fun”, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar tells how there are three levels of teacher in the world. The first says, “I have the knowledge and you are ignorant - here I will teach you”.
The second says, “You are suffering - here I will help you”. The third says. “I am Divine, and you are Divine - let’s go have fun remembering how Divine we are”.
It’s easy to see which teachers end separation and which ones continue it. If I am truly intent on “saving the world”, why would I want to perpetuate separation? It could only be if my ego needs to feel self-important or needs to adopt a “savior” role in order to feel worthy.
MSI created teaching
Ascension as a way students of Truth can choose to continue remembering more fully how Divine they are and experiencing that remembrance with others.
MSI also created different levels of vows for those who want to know their Self more fully and quickly. These vows have little to do with how deep one’s commitment is, or with the length of time of commitment involved.
The vows’ purpose is to provide tools for expansion into our next level of mastery. As I evolve, I
see I have been ‘trading-in’ my old limiting concepts for new, more unbounded ones. This has gone on until I am more and more living concept-free.
The different levels of the vows portray this perfectly. Like a river flowing to the ocean - until the water of the river reaches the ocean the riverbanks serve to keep the river on its course. |
