Let me see ‘me’ as I really am, Without these clothes of skin I wear. Let me know the ‘I’ that lies within, My spirit stark, my soul stripped bare.
Let me then hold on to all I see and build upon its very core.
Let me strengthen it with all my might, with love divine and thoughts so pure.
Let me know each day what should be done to help me grow from inside out. Let me only learn of all that’s true, So of my path I have no doubt.
Let me cast aside what ‘I’ don’t need, That which in my pathway stands. Let me shun my ego and false pride, Until the Lord does take my hand.
